PWD store could still be used to house archives, says ExCo

St Helena’s Executive Council has also confirmed that the old public works store in Jamestown will not necessarily be sold to the highest bidder. Proposed uses, and their benefits to the island’s heritage and tourism, will be taken into account.

The Museum of St Helena expressed concern at the unexpected sale of the building. It has proposed using it to relocate the island’s historic archives, and its public library. Read more here
