Social workers learn about child protection

Social workers on St Helena have completed three months of seminars on child protection and a range of other issues. Visiting trainer Vincent O’Rourke also taught staff about behavioural therapy, and ways to improve family life. Read more on the St Helena Government website, here.

This is one of the many feilds in my career so its fantantic to know that staff awareness was a positive one (Child Protective Service).What i would also like to see is trainging staff and police for The Elderly, and people with Special needs, (Safe Guarding Vulnerable Adults) S.O.V.A. So we are moving ahead on a positive note
