Oh well. Bang goes that story

One of my stories has exploded. A breakdown in communications meant that St Helena Online wrongly ran a piece for a few hours overnight on Friday morning, saying that a large explosion would take place on the island as part of the airport project. Although there will be a blast, it will not, in fact, be large. There are often difficulties verifying facts on stories from 5,000 miles away, and a great many have not been published because of doubts. This was a rare exception.

Somehow, the picture now seems even more appropriate…
