It won’t just be the unique birdlife that will be chirruping on St Helena before long, notes the Evening Standard newspaper in London. Its City Spy column reports that mobile phones will become part of island life from 2014. City Spy suggests that with the noise of mobiles ringing and aircraft landing on Prosperous Bay Plain, Saints who want a bit of peace might consider moving to a London suburb.
